United States (U.S.) visa policy permits citizens of certain countries to travel to the U.S. without a visa, when they meet certain requirements, under U.S. laws.
The Visa Waiver Program (VWP) enables nationals of 36 participating countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business (visitor [B] visa purposes only) for stays of 90 days or less without obtaining a visa. The program is able to eliminate unnecessary barriers to travel to the United States for countries who have a low level of overstays. Nationals of the countries must meet eligibility requirements to travel without a visa on this program. The application is filed online while outside the U.S.
